Matt Menna serves as a Managing Principal and Chief Design Officer at Sterling Bay, an innovative Chicago-based real estate investment and development company with a breadth of expertise spanning all aspects of real estate ownership. Sterling Bay is an established leader in creating urban campus headquarters for prominent companies such as Google, McDonald’s, Uber, Glassdoor, Dyson, Hillshire Brands and Gogo. The firm has been consistently recognized for its award-winning projects and successful track record of transforming spaces and enhancing communities. Today, Sterling Bay maintains a real estate portfolio exceeding $5 billion and a rapidly growing, passionate team of more than 185 employees.

In addition to leading the firm’s creative design efforts across its national portfolio of award-winning office and multifamily developments, Matt is responsible for guiding Sterling Bay’s projects that require operational oversight and master plan design expertise. Such projects include Lincoln Yards, a 53-acre urban infill site that will transform a former industrial corridor along the Chicago River into a vibrant mixed-use community, as well as Victory Ranch, a 6,700-acre luxury residential community outside Park City, Utah. Matt also serves as Managing Principal of Four Corners, a Chicago-based hospitality group that operates and invests in over 20 restaurant and bar venues locally and nationally.

Prior to joining Sterling Bay in 2012, Matt spent 17 years at William Blair where he managed assets valued at $600 million for high-net worth clients. Matt earned a BS in Business Finance from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.
