As the restaurant industry continues to be impacted by the lasting effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Illinois Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (IRAEF) has developed the Restaurant Employee Relief Fund to provide financial support to restaurant
workers in need and has expanded it to include those restaurant workers impacted by accident, illness, injury, death of an immediate family member or natural disaster.
It is our mission to build and promote the health and prosperity of the restaurant industry by investing in our workforce.
The IRAEF is a non-profit organization 501 (c)(3) created to prepare Illinois' hospitality workforce through career exploration, professional development, industry training, and scholarships. We have expanded our efforts to ensure a strong future for
the restaurant community. The development of industry professionals remains a top priority, and we are proud to support the restaurant workers during this time of crisis.
Funding for the Restaurant Employee Relief Fund comes from various sources, including personal donations, corporate partnerships, and proceeds from the Go Gourmet Dining and Virtual Event Series.
Relief Fund applications are available in both English and Spanish.
