A life-long Chicagoan, Audarshia Townsend is a veteran food and beverage journalist, who serves as President/CEO of Townsend Media Magic, LLC. Her bylines have appeared in the Chicago Tribune, Crain’s Chicago, Eater Chicago, Essence, Esquire, Huffington Post, Michigan Avenue, Playboy.com, parents.com, StarChefs, Time Out Global, and World’s Best Bars. 

In addition to appearing regularly on the pages of Chicago magazine, Audarshia is a long-time contributor to WGN Morning News, where she reports on local restaurant and bar trends. She also writes and edits for several foodservice-industry publications.
