IRA on Mental Health Concerns in Restaurants; Increasing Access to Services

CBS 2 Chicago recently aired a segment on local restaurants' efforts to address mental health and substance abuse in the industry. Our member S.K.Y. and General Manager Charles Ford was highlighted.

The IRA along with the National Restaurant Association is supporting nationwide efforts this year to increase the accessibility of mental health services. The National Restaurant Association launched a nationwide small business health plan with UnitedHealthcare earlier this year. This fully-insured plan helps small and medium-sized businesses offer their employees comprehensive insurance, including mental health services, access to medical providers, and wellness incentives.
