Tip or No Tip Policies? IRA in Champaign News-Gazette on Tipping Practices

The Champaign News-Gazette recently examined the concept of no tipping policies at restaurants around the country. 

IRA President & CEO Sam Toia explained how no tipping policies can be challenging for customers and staff to accept, particularly if good servers feel they aren't making as much as they could. "People come in for the food, but they come back for the service," Toia said.

Regarding tipping policies, the IRA believes restaurants should have the freedom to choose what works best for their business and their employees to keep the industry thriving.
