City Council Passes O'Hare Expansion; IRA Supports Investment in Global Transportation Hub

On Wednesday, the City Council approved three major pieces of Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s O’Hare International Airport overhaul proposal, which will allow the City to borrow up to $4 billion for the $8.5 billion plan to add gates, concourses, and an updated international terminal at the airport. The IRA recently submitted a letter in support of the O'Hare Modernization plan.

IRA President & CEO Sam Toia joined Mayor Emanuel and a group of political, civic, and business leaders at the signing ceremony at O'Hare.
