The State Journal-Register recently featured a new law for restaurants that requires one certified foodservice sanitation manager trained in allergen safety and awareness must be on site at all times the business is open. The IRA supported this legislation, which raises the standards for our industry and protects businesses, consumers, and public health.

IRA President & CEO Sam Toia noted that the law is "a very progressive bill for the hospitality industry,” adding, "Patrons at different restaurants also can feel a little safer going out to eat.”
