Tribune: Porcini Aims to Make Restaurateurs' Lives Easier , Sam Toia on Restaurant Tech

This week, the Chicago Tribune's Blue Sky Innovation featured Porcini, a cloud-based platform built to streamline back-of-house management for restaurants, bars and coffee shops. The organizational tool assists restaurant owners, managers and chefs with things like tracking food orders, documenting recipes and developing new menus.

IRA President & CEO Sam Toia shared his insights on restaurant tech, commenting that, "Traditionally, restaurants really only had control over food costs and payroll. With the gradual integration of new web-based management platforms, restaurants are now able to utilize data like they never were able to before, and turn that data into knowledge and actions that help their business thrive.”
