IRA President & CEO Sam Toia, IRA Executive Committee Member Scott Weiner of The Fifty/50 Group, and IRA Advisory Council Member Alpana Singh of The Boarding House and Seven Lions shared their insights on the benefits of the Culinary and Hospitality Modernization Act and the two year anniversary of happy hour with Chicago Tribune.

While Sam explained the need for pragmatic policies like the happy hour law to help Illinois' restaurant industry thrive, Alpana and Scott expressed how happy hour drives business during non-peak hours and brings in millennial customers.

The IRA, along with chief co-sponsors Rep. Sara Feigenholtz (12th) and Sen. Tony Munoz (1st), was a driving force behind the Culinary and Hospitality Modernization Act passed in 2015.
