Kiki is an Associate Board member for five years with Common Threads founded by Chef Art Smith. Common Threads’ mission is to educate children on the importance of nutrition and physical well-being, and to foster an appreciation of cultural diversity through cooking. Kiki has worked hands-on with the executive director, the board and the chefs to plan and host their events including the annual World Festival at Soldier Field. She is also a founding committee member for the new Chicago-based charity, In Chef’s Hands with Chef Rodelio Aglibot and Chef Todd Stein. Her food background is a very personal story. She was raised in a family of Italian origin with ties to New Orleans. Growing up with a mother and grandmother always in the kitchen, Kiki learned how to cook the old fashioned way, by experience and no recipes. With over 20 years in her home kitchen, Kiki has both a technical understanding as well as a deep passion for the food industry. Her unique perspective through friends in the industry as well as her homegrown love for food, Kiki is leveraging herself as a new media outlet for culinary experts across the country.

Kiki is often on the scene for local events and was recently a judge for Burger Bash hosted by media giant Modern Luxury’s CS, as well as a judge for the Oyster Shucking event at Frontier with some of the best shuckers in Chicago.
