Free Industry Publications-
Through your dual membership, you will receive the IRA’s monthly fax alert Member’s Briefs and our newsletter Seasoning. In addition, you will also receive the National Restaurant Association’s Washington Weekly.

Legislative Representation-
Registered lobbyists work to protect your business by promoting views and legislation in the best interest of the food service industry at the national, state and local levels of government.

Public Affairs Conference- Annual conferences for IRA members, consisting of legislative and regulatory briefings with key government officials and representatives.

Grassroots Program- This program coordinates a statewide or local industry response to proposed laws and regulations so operators speak out with one voice on issues which impact our industry’s business climate.

IRPAC- The Illinois Restaurateurs’ Political Action Committee contributes to Illinois candidates who support the restaurant industry.

The IRA Educational Foundation-
Serves the hospitality industry’s growing labor challenge by creating and operating workforce development programs focused on generating career and job opportunities for the youth of Illinois, while providing a skilled labor force for our industry. The Foundation manages the ProStart Schools to Careers Program, scholarships, career mentors, job shadowing, internship opportunities, field trips, workshops and guest speakers for students.
