Edgar Torres

Taco Joint Urban Taqueria and Cantina

Chef Edgar Torres, who is from Toluca in the state of Mexico, began his culinary career at Vinci and Coco Pazzo where he worked as a line cook. Chef Torres then worked with Dudley Nieto for several years at both Zapatista and Zocalo. it was at Zocalo where Edgar began to hone his skills as a chef and develop his own style of cooking. a balance of tradition and innovation that remains true to the complex flavors of Mexico. Chef Edgar Torres now serves as executive chef at Zocalo as well as taco joint Lincoln Park and taco joint River North.
