THE 36th ANNUAL RESTAURATEURS FOR EDUCATION GALA
An evening of Fire & Ice
(CHICAGO, IL – October, 2013) – On the heels of producing Bon Appétit presents Chicago Gourmet, the Illinois Restaurant Association is pleased to announce From the Chef’s Table: Restaurateurs for Education. The 36th annual gala, an evening of Fire and Ice, takes place Friday, November 8, 2013, at 6:00 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Chicago (151 E. Wacker Drive). Celebrating Chicago’s unparalleled food service industry, attendees will feast on signature dishes from the city’s top restaurants while benefiting students who dream of pursuing a career in the hospitality industry.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Illinois Restaurant Association Educational Foundation’s Scholarship Initiative and ProStart® program. The mission of the Educational Foundation is to build the state’s hospitality workforce through career exploration, development programs, and scholarships. To date, over $2.25 million in scholarships have been awarded.
